About

What are the Fanshawe College Archives?

The Fanshawe College Archives are a collection of records, documents, artifacts and memorabilia from Fanshawe College and its community. They serve as the college’s institutional memory and illustrate its history, growth and development, dating back to 1966.

Goals:

  • To preserve the College's institutional memory by identifying, acquiring and protecting its permanently valuable records.

  • To provide suitable facilities for the storage, preservation, retrieval and use of archival records.

  • To provide access to the archival records for the purpose of reference and research to students, faculty, staff, alumni and the community, and to encourage the use of the archives for teaching purposes.

  • To promote awareness of Fanshawe College's record-keeping obligations, and of the Archives' role in the preservation of the College's documentary heritage.
